SOCIAL ISSUE CLOCKFall 2023
Capstone
This project showcases the social issue of artist censorship through an acrylic cut clock. The clock face displays portraits of artists, and as time progresses, the clock's hand obstructs an artists eyes. This design highlights how artists have been censored over time and continues today. This project aimed to shed light on the ongoing challenges artists encounter in expressing themselves freely.
SOCIAL ISSUE EXHIBITSpring 2024
Capstone
Following the Social Issue Clock from the fall 2023 semester, the social issue project was continued in spring 2024 as the final senior capstone in the form of an exhibit. The exhibit focuses on the impacts of artist censorship and highlights selected creatives, and the reason their work was suppressed. A 115 page senior book was made to accompany the exhibit, having more in depth information on the social issue, along with exploration projects, events, and memories from the senior year.
